February days are so brutally cold, that any activity in which I have to leave my apartment is cause for dread. But, wanting to do something special, the boyfriend and I planned a special dinner at a restaurant we've been wanting to dine at. Considering I've spent the winter in my warmest leggings, wool sweaters, and trusty Sorel boots, I wanted to dress up. I don't know about you, but I never shop for dresses in the winter. Holiday affairs tend to be casual, and I usually beeline to the thickest knits before thinking of something silky, short, and festive. This floral number was my favorite spring dress of last year, especially when worn with sneakers. To liven it up, I paired it with some tights, ankle boots, wool jacket, and a leather belt. It was hard parting with my down jacket for the night, so to relieve the separation, I brought along a grey shawl that doubled as my blanket. A swipe of lipstick and I was ready to go.
